Most Oswego subdivisions come with a monthly HOA bill. The original streets of Fox Chase do not. Fox Chase is a Fox River neighborhood on the west side of Oswego. It has an elementary school right in the neighborhood, and the original streets have no homeowners association dues. Original Streets vs. the Estates of Fox Chase
Fox Chase has two generations of homes under one name. The original streets were built in the mid-1990s. That includes Fox Chase Drive North, Badger Lane, and Ferret Crossing. The trees are mature, a lot of the homes have finished basements and big backyards, and there are no HOA dues. The Estates of Fox Chase were built in the late 2010s, north of Mill Road and east of Orchard Road. Those homes are bigger, about 2,800 square feet on average, on quarter-acre lots. Original homes start around $370,000. Most Fox Chase homes sell in the high $300,000s and $400,000s. The Estates homes reach into the high $400,000s.
River Access and a School in the Middle of It All
Fox Chase has access to the Fox River, plus parks and biking and multi-use trails. Downtown Oswego is a few minutes away, with shopping, restaurants, and community events all year. Fox Chase Elementary School sits right in the neighborhood at 260 Fox Chase Drive North. A lot of kids walk to school. The neighborhood is in Oswego Community Unit School District 308. High school students go to Oswego High School. Junior high depends on the address. Some homes go to Traughber and some go to Thompson. I can confirm the exact schools for any home you are looking at.
